Unified by the dynamic resonance of nature in their work, Mark Lavatelli and Polly Little each bring their unique interpretation to the two-person exhibition at Meibohm Fine Arts. Lavatell and Little, a husband-and-wife duo working in WNY since the 1980’s are both known for the mastery of their unique mediums. Lavatelli’s paiinitngs are created in the ancinec beeswx technique called encaustic and Little’s paintings, sculptures , and bas reliefs in acrylic and plaster. Pairing their unique approaches to the natural world of flora and fauna, the viewer may hold them in direct opposition, yet threaded together by inspiration and abstractionl.
